StatHead.comStathead Consulting was established in 1997 to bring high-quality decision engineering and econometric modelling techniques to the field of baseball. Our focus includes performance analysis, player projections and forecasting, and economic modelling to assist in the understanding on real-world decisions in the baseball industry. Stathead's roots come from the the success of the Baseball Engineering Home Page, which quickly became one of the most popular baseball analysis sites on the World Wide Web.
The Stathead.com Library began as a home for discussions of baseball engineering and modelling, commonly known as "sabermetrics", with an explicit focus on making better strategic and tactical decisions for a baseball team. The site presented research and information related to statistics, performance, strategy, and economic issues, primarily analyzed from a mathematical and/or engineering point of view. Numerous individuals contributed articles or links to the site, and we continue to seek out the best baseball research available. Stathead is proud to continue sponsorship of the Library as a free source of top-notch research for sabermetricians everywhere.
